UHNW and HNW WOMEN being different and embracing their ‘Mongrel Identity’

A few days ago I was in the Piedmont region of Italy having been invited to dinner from a colleague. Within the dinner party was the Italian wife of a colleague who although coming from a professional background, did not comprehend that UHNW and HNW women would require coaching assistance “for something as simple as confidence” building, trust building and other psychological issues around wealth growth. Conversely, this woman’s husband who was a scientist from the USA understood the need for the coaching assistance. The wife stated that women who were rich already had a confident mindset. That this was how they made their money and it was impossible or sceptical that they would deviate from having this trait. I had to explain that not all women made their wealth in the same ways and not all women who are affluent are also highly confident in all aspects of their life. That not all affluent women are outgoing in life. That not all affluent women are extroverts. That not all affluent women are gregarious. That not all affluent women are accessible. That not all affluent women are expansive. That not all affluent women are communicative. So on and so forth. I had to further add that the clients that I assist are shy, introvert or have a form of autism. Again there was this disbelief that UHNW and HNW women could be shy, introvert or have autism.

They all travelled through life with varying degrees of emotional, physical, social, economic and professional scars, causes and symptoms. Many of these aspects becoming an impact from being different and trying to break free completely from each mindset shackle. Each mindset bondage. Their life growth situations impacted at various moments along their journey, leaving a small ‘wound’ and in some cases going unresolved and unhealed, causing a recurring situation throughout their life.

The greatest recognition of these ladies is that they are embracing being different. They are not afraid, or ashamed, of their differences. They are beginning to embrace their difference and see it as a badge of honour as they make more positive steps into their social mobility. They are reclaiming their own culture, their own class of being, their own racial aspects. No longer is the term ‘Mongrel’ used by others who wish for them to fail, seen or felt as a poisoned dart in their psyche to hold them back from their growth and greatness. There are enough women who have come from disadvantaged, marginalised and disenfranchised backgrounds who are walking proud and making the changes to become a stronger individual in the life that they need, want and desire to live within.
